Favorite thingS to do:

Spend time with my family!

Why I teach:

“I studied Montessori because I felt called to the work but had no idea that I was being called to collaborate in the building of the Kingdom of God. Slowly I grew in awe and wonder of the beauty of the child Maria Montessori revealed to humanity. The dignity of God’s smallest ones continues to amaze me. The joy of watching them grow and develop is a gift God renews with each passing day. Everyday in the classroom is truly ‘the best day ever.’”

Why I teach:

“I became involved with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd while I was teaching special education in a public school setting. I realized if teaching our faith could be done in such an amazing way, then teaching reading and math and all the other subjects according to Maria Montessori's method would also be beneficial to children. My husband, John, and I have been involved with Sancta Maria for quite a long time, and then I completed my Montessori observations and student teaching at Sancta Maria. As my children get older, I have helped to build the Montessori program at Sancta Maria to the Elementary level, ages 7-12.
